The Youngstown Area Weaver’s Guild is a non profit organization of Active fiber artist from Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana Counties who enjoy learning and experimenting with fibers. Founded in 1954, the main function of the guild is to promote and support its members enabling them to express their creativity in weaving and to broaden the awareness of fiber art in the community.

We offer programs, lectures and guest artist workshops in weaving, spinning, basketry techniques, natural dyes, felting and other fiber related arts.

We demonstrate at the local festivals, fairs, schools, community celebration’s and other events.

We have done fiber exhibits & fashion shows, at some of the many exhibit facilities available in the Mahoning Valley. The exhibits offer a rich diversity of Fiber arts which makes an exciting and informative show. We have done a fashion show at the Midwest Conference, exhibits at community libraries, Boarders book store and have had a space at the December craft show at the Butler Art Institute.
