Built the Lost & The Dream Exhibition

Judge Debra Jo Radke Although it may seem unrelated, my choices fell really into two categories: my response on a purely emotional level as in “The Raincoat” or “The Letter” and “Ybor Night” or a purely emotional response toward a technically strong execution of a different viewpoint, link in “Sunrise” or “Done for the Day” or “Pink Blossoms, Puerto Rico”. Color pays a key role in both categories and I’d like to add that the quality of the work generally is really high and that makes the judge’s job very difficult indeed. I could easily add many more honorable mention pieces. Thank you for this honor.

TRA announces the winners of its Annual Oil and Acrylic Exhibition.


Juror's Statement: Carolyn Kossar, “Its always a challenge to judge so many talented artists with only a few awards to be given. My choices were made considering the expressive use of paint on each piece. The TRA artists just keep getting better and better.”
In conjunction with this exhibition, TRA will be celebrating its 40th anniversary of operating the Old Hyde Park Art Center with a reception on November 13th from 6 to 8 pm. Refreshments will be served and the public is encouraged to attend.
