Upcoming Exhibit at TAG

Trumbull Art Gallery's next show  features the newest paintings of James Pernotto, a Youngstown-born artist who, after working and living for 10 years in New York, returned to set up a studio in his hometown. The exhibit titled "Angles of Decadence" will open with a chocolate decadence reception (sponsored by Youngstown Tropea) on March 2, 2-4 PM.  The themes that Pernotto is currently investigating in his work "explore the science/myth nexus. It focuses on two images working together to interweave time and space. Hinged to DNA and natural harmonics his recent work probes new dimensions of space and time by weaving together their respective genetic and galactic codes". The artist’s paintings have been extensively exhibited in New York City and Ohio, and, in 2006, in a one-man  show at The Butler Museum in Howland. Talks with Pernotto are scheduled 2-3 PM at the TAG Gallery on March 16 and April 6.
