| I believe in Christmas. It is the best time of the year. I would like to take this time to tell you a little about our Christmas. We start celebrating and preparing for Christmas in early November. My hubby gets so excited this time of year, (just like a small boy). He starts bustling about doing all kinds of neat little things. Every little nock and cranny are filled with Christmas. We put up anywhere between 4 and 6 trees in our home. My future son-in-law said it perfectly "Wow this place looks like a gift shop". That is what it reminds me of. There are so many lights we don't need to turn on the lamps. That is on the inside. Now the outside looks like Las Vegas, LOL. We have our grandsons come and help decorate Pappy's tree. It is a seven and 1/2 ft blue pine of some sort. The kids have a ball doing this, It has become tradition. They are 6 and 3. Once the tree is decorated, the children and I sit and read Christmas stories by the fireplace with lots of hot cocoa and soft Christmas music in the background. The next weekend the kids will come back and we will put up the train under the tree. Another Tradition. We are making them yearly. We also take our grandson to the local playhouse theater to see the Christmas special of the year. This year the younger one will come also. I can.t wait. This is all followed, of course, by a huge family Christmas Dinner. |
