A Little More Christmas
| One of my
favorite all time Christmas memories is remembering all the times My Aunt (who raised me) made me artificial snow. I can still remember her in the kitchen with " Ivory Snowflakes" beating them with an old fashioned egg beater, she would beat them all fluffy and stiff then we would go into livingroom (where the tree was) it was always a huge one, there we would put the snow on the branches. My Aunt is 86 years old today and she is still as precious to me now as she was then. I love her dearly. I think she would love to see and old fashioned tree like she used to make. The tree not only had artificial snow, but it also had, cranberries, and popcorn, paper chains and gingerbread boys and girls. She made these also. I was so starry eyed at Christmas time, she kept Christmas and Santa alive for me much longer than most kids have Him. I can remember getting up in the morning and coming down the stairs and there were all my dolls (I had about a hundred of them) They were all dressed in new nightgowns that matched the ones Santa left for me. This is for you Aunt Peg . I love you dearly. You have been an example to me all my life. Here is your old fashioned tree. |

| Dear Santa; What I want most is a real live pup That I can squeeze and cuddle up. I'd love the warm soft feel of him, I'd keep the coat all burnished and trim. I'd love to feed and watch him grow From day-to-day; and this I know He'd get nice tidbits from my plate I'd share with him,if he'd just wait Til no one looks; and I'd invite Him to my bed, most every night. So Santa, I'd take most any kind, Terrier, Cocker, Poodle, I won't mind. Please leave his basket by the tree And a card that says from you to me. Goodbye Santa Jim |
