Formal art training in drawing, painting and sculpture at the University of Notre Dame

Painting - many paintings and drawings in many collections in the United States and throughout the world, including those of the American College of Surgeons, The Archduke Otto von Hapsburg, and many other private collections. The Medart Collection comprises primarily the artist's own works. First pirse in oil in 1959, for a painting on Socialized Medicine- Titled, "The Conquest of Incentive" now at the American College of Surgeons in Chicago. 

Sculpture - Contributed and executed the sculptures on the Four Seasons at the rose Gardens in Mill Creek Park. Both the sculptures and the murals at the Youngstown Symphony Center done by Dr. Murray. The sculptures in the Medart Collection done by Dr. Murray
The Youngstown Area Civic Improvement Award. Presented by the Youngstown Chamber of Commerce for Excellence in Design and Construction. The Frank Purnell Award presented by the Youngstown Jaycees
