This professional artist makes her home in St. Petersburg, Florida. she works
in mixed water media, collage and assemblages. Mary Alice taught art in the
public school system in Hillsborough County and was an art consultant for a
school district in the Denver, Colorado area. She was President of the Florida
Watercolor Society in 1991 and 1992 and served on the Society's Executive Board
until 1998. Braukman is the Director of the Kanuga Watercolor Workshops, held at
Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
Mary Alice teaches workshops throughout the United States, in experimental
water media painting and collage for intermediate and advanced painters. She
lectures, serves as juror in state and regional water media exhibitions. Her
workshops involve new concepts and ideas. Her goal in teaching is to introduce
students to creative textural surfaces by experimenting on various paper and
combining different media. She hopes to inspire each student to make a unique
visual personal statement. |
