| Marianne comes
from a family of artisan's all extremely creative in their own
areas. Her early art education was in Pittsburgh at the Ivy School
of Art, then continues at the Rhode Island School of Photography.
Her most valuable instruction came while in Rome, Italy where she
studied art and developed a passion for painting. While living in
southern California for several years she attended classes at art
schools, galleries and private lessons to develop new skills and
keep old ones updated. After
graduating photography school she worked in the graphics arts field
for large and small companies. With her photographic background she
started the Restoration department for a photography company in
Southern California and continued to watch it grow into a successful
department. She has also worked in Los Angeles as skilled computerized
color artist of a large fabric & design company, this has helped
tremendously for understanding color and how to use it.
In the mid 90's Marianne was asked
to establish an Art Department for a private school in N. Palm
Springs, Ca. She was one of two art teachers for grades 3 - 12 along
with starting an adult education program for the department.
Marianne lives in Western
Pennsylvania. She is affiliated with the Butler Art Museum and
continues to teach for local and out of state organizations. |
