Battle of the Will 

Fracture’s of your soul pressuring you down and suffocating you.
Getting lost through the path of life
with an enormous load on your back in pain you walk. 

Looking to the horizon for a way out, battered and bruised.
Beaten from life’s betrayals, losses, tragedies and sorrows!
Still fighting to get up once more from your fall!
You stumble and lie there. 

Like a beaten animal, curled in your corner, in pain you cry.
Licking your wounds to recover, so weakened you feel!
Still fighting to survive! Still wanting to believe!
Still seeing a better tomorrow! Still loving life! 

Refusing to give up hopes and faith in human kind!
Mixed emotions of sadness and emptiness linger in you.
Wondering what tomorrow will bring.
Still holding on to your dreams! 

Still believing in finding your way to a peaceful home!
A heaven filled with love and a sense of belonging.
Where you will finally rest and recover from your wounds.
It’s with your strength and determination, you will succeed. 

Hold on to your dreams, my friend.
Don’t let the struggles of life bring you down.
Someday you will find your dreams.
You will see that inner faith conquers many obstacles.

My Damaged Rose

 Like a wilted rose beaten from the storms of life,
You yearn for your faithful gardener’s loving touch.
To nurture you back to your true beauty and life.
In fear you stand! 

Burdened by the heat of neglect and needs.
In pain you slowly wilt and weaken!.
Starving for the love you need to bring you back to life.
Resisting the possibilities of certain death, you wait. 

In sadness, I observe the beauty you hold within.
I see how damaged you have been from your previous caregivers.
Feeling the need for your potential recovery, I gently touch you!
I assure you of my love and devotion to build up your strength. 

In fear, I observe you, afraid to lose you to your excessive deterioration.
I look at you with my loving heart, and I can feel your pain.
I see the multiple bruises and damaged limbs of your soul.
I remove the damage limbs, one by one!
Knowing you will need time to build up your strength. 

Such feelings of love for you possess my heart.
Such need to heal and protect you from further harm.
Such desire to see you bloom with the qualities you hold.
Such beauty! Such colors! Such possibilities of decorating my life, you hold.
For, you see, I also need your love.
I will now give you your nutrient and water, with all of my love.

Innocence of Children 

Do you see the beauty and innocence of children, God?Yes! So loving! So forgiving! So trusting!
Look how bonded, faithful, and loyal, they are to their caregiver’s! 

They do not know of any bias, nor do they know hate!
They do not judge, nor do they condemn, like we adults do! 

I ask of you, God, please protect the innocence of children!
Please keep them safe from abuse and incest!

Give them parents who will love and guide them through life!
Parents who will raise them in a proper and loving manner! 

Could you lead and guide them through life, and protect them from harm?
For you see, God, some children do need you! 

As you know, many children are abused. They are frighten and in pain!They grow up not knowing who to trust, and who really loves them! 

Just for a few minutes of his selfish pleasure!
The abuser will scar a child for life, and he will walk away! 

Could you please help children to heal from the abusers?
For, you see, they certainly did not ask for such treatments! 

Help them to find peace in their heart and love in their soul!
Guide and lead them to a better future, and please do ease their pain!
