Rules and Exceptions,,,Dynamics and
Aggressions:
Modern art is the evolution and manifestation of man's attempts at
making magic since the cave paintings of 15,000 years ago...it is
tapping into, expressing, and manipulating energies.
Influenced by
those like Van Gogh and Mattisse, I am envious of good abstract
expressionism as I try to forge forward without forgetting the past.
With a master's degree and years of
teaching experience I have pursued these evolving ideas.
Analytical
in preparation, I organize my hierarchy of process and values.
intense though traditional in application, working from dark to
light, I start with ivory black (pigmented with charred animal bones
and thus connecting to spirits past) and finish with white showing
the seams as I go.
Sensing the spiritual significance of objects, I find something
intrinsic even magnetic (reptilian) in the human face and form, thus
I use reality as a point of departure.....innovating changes
(corrections) in color and other fragmentations in trying to create a
visual dialogue.
Color blind and having poor vision, I use color
theory, sharp delineation, brightness, and texture to emphasize
shapes and color fields.
My art is largely the navigations of
painting light.
Anyways,,,,,,,until further extrapolations,,, bound
by the rules of an infinite all permeating universe (as id and
