Artist Bio

Shirley is an award winning watercolor painter, creating local images and landscapes. Her work is shown at Art Uptown in Sarasota and Island Gallery West on Anna Maria island, Florida.

The artist's background includes a BA Degree in Art Education from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Fine Art from American University in Washinton, D. C. This led to an Assistant Professorship at the University of Maryland teaching design, color theory, drawing and lecturing in design at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C.
