Bonjour,
We are now extending a special invitation to interested watercolorists who may
want to consider participating in one of our two upcoming France Watercolor
Workshops during the month of September 2010. Each 10-day workshop will be
conducted in southwestern France within the tri-region area of Perigord,
Dordogne, and Quercy. Our headquarters will be at the beautiful estate of
Domaine du Haut Baran, which is nestled in the rolling countryside near the
medieval town of Puy L’Eveque. The rooms and dining facilities of our
headquarters are beautifully decorated and delightfully accommodating. Please
take a look at Haut Baran’s website
www.hautbaran.com to become familiar with their wonderfully appointed
facilities and outstanding surrounding environment. A maximum enrollment of only
10 students will be maintained for each workshop. Last year, each class
averaged 7 students, 7 spouses or friends and of course my wife Jan and myself.
Friends and spouses can elect to accompany the artists, pursue special tours and
excursions or just stay at Haut Baran and relax.
Each day, prior to leaving for our painting site, we enjoy a delightfully
prepared breakfast at Haut Baran. Five of the ten days, we either have lunch on
the patio of Haut Baran and/or a specially prepared packed lunch to take on
location will be provided. We also have five delicious multi-course evening
meals at Haut Baran. In addition to your tuition and board, all of these meals
are included with your workshop price of $3475. As a group, eating the remaining
lunches and dinners at other notable restaurants enables each individual to
experience a variety of different favorite French cuisines.
The different painting sites provide us with an abundant amount of subject
matter that is stimulating and captivating. Last year’s workshops were without
question the most invigorating and inspiring sessions that I have ever
experienced. Hopefully, you will be able to join us for another spectacular
workshop.
For your reference, I have attached a Word document file that provides a sample
itinerary (applicable to both workshops), a photo collage that features our last
two workshop experiences, and a registration form. If you have any questions,
