Doris
Clanton is a Florida artist. She has been searching
for her niche with macramé, t-shirts, cards and finally
about 11 years ago tried watercolor. Bingo! I am happy as a
clam. My objective is to share the happiness of color with
everyone.
Doris has studied with Mary Henderson and Terry Madden.
Both fed her hunger for color intensity and fantasy.
Her favorite subjects are flowers, birds and fish. However
she has done many commissions of people's pets and
landscapes.
Doris has worked with several interior designers for new
houses. She loves the challenge of putting the clients
ideas on paper in their colors. Nothing satisfies her
better than to please the client and word of mouth has sent
her many commissions.
Doris Clanton is a member of the board of the Creative
Artists Guild of Dunedin and is also a member of the
Crystal Beach Art Club. She shows in shows in the area.
Doris was the official artist of the Safety Harbor Wine
Festival in 2003. She has won several ribbons at local shows
