I am 50 and work in the humanities department of a university library, where, among other things, I catalog new art books. I've always enjoyed imagery and felt an impulse to create, but it wasn't until I encountered 3D art software in 1996 that I found a medium I liked. Drawing on a strong math background which allows to work well in numerical 3D space, I enjoy manipulating 3D objects and applying unusual and beautiful textures to those objects. My primary program is Bryce because I like the way it simulates glass and metal. I typically post sixteen new images to my web site each month. Eventually I want to do surreal 3D animations in addition to my still images. |
