This was written for my children, through their eyes, to honor their mother and help them express their feelings on her passing. This was a painful time for them. They loved their mother very much. So in honor of them and their mother here is the poem. 

"Our Mother Dear"

Our mother's  gone to the other side
to visit those who've gone before.
Our Sister's there, two Grandpas too
one grandma here one grandma there.

God has her now in his loving care
The pain is gone, her smile returned.
We miss her so, but we all know,
She'll pray for us till ; at heavens' door.
We will reunite, all once more.

Today we're sad, with hardened hearts
God's taken her to be with him.
She'll guide us, each and every one
To live our lives in harmony and share
our love forever more.

So Mother Dear, we love you so 
and in our hearts
your love still grows.

As you look down from heaven above
we say to you, not goodbye,
for your memory will always be
in our hearts for an eternity.
