I
am a self-taught artist I began painting professionally, doing commissioned
portraits at the beginning of 1997. Since then, I have been in a
number of group exhibitions locally each year and in 1999, was juried into the
Annual Art in the Park show in Pietermaritzburg, Natal, having been selected as
one of 70 artists chosen nationally. My paintings are
represented in local galleries and in private collections here in South Africa
and in England and Europe. I paint in oil and the subjects range from
wildlife, people, places, landscapes. Sometimes I paint in gouache also.
