B C Karrh
Born
In Meridian, Mississippi and raised throughout the South,
he relocated to Ohio in 2003. From a large family, he gleaned
the arts of his grandparents of French Creole, Irish, Scottish
and Native American heritage. While living and attending
Cordon Bleu Paris, visits to the Musee’ de Louvre encouraged
an appreciation for French art and composition.
Even though he is a former art teacher, he works as a pastry
chef today, using many of the techniques he learned from les
beau arts, in fantastic cakes and confectionary
sculpture. Trained by Mrs. Carolyn B. Haney of Columbus,
Mississippi his technique is based off of Burnt Umber Underpainting. Although many pieces are part of private
collections, three to four are finished each year, and tend to
encompass Classic or Biblical themes. He also uses Italian
Composition Ornament to Reproduce Antique Copies and
Personalized frames to order.
