Nurturing in the Round
I have incorporated the nest in the series as a
symbolic image of caretaker and nurturer. Having been in the
position of caretaker for an ailing, suffering loved one, art was
the force that helped sustain the healing of emotional pain within,
and the feeling of powerlessness that often befalls the role of
caretaker. The nest also is representational of the strong cyclic
and natural forces and events in life and nature.
